Take A Look At These Powerful Trucks
Category : Automotive
It doesn’t get any more all-American than being behind the wheel of a nice big truck. Not only are they durable and strong with impressive towing and hauling capabilities; many are now also very comfortable with plush cabins and a smooth ride. Some even boast cool tech features that one wouldn’t expect in a truck.
The first truck on our list is the F150 by Ford; it is the most popular truck in the nation. There are three different engine choices available; the base is a V6 3.7 while the mid-range engine is a V8 Eco Boost V6 which comes with comes with either 365 or 360 hp. An eight cylinder 6.2 Liter engine is also available for those who crave an immense amount of power with 411 hp. The base model is pretty strong; it can tow 5,500 pounds of cargo while the top of the line V8 can tow up to 11,300 pounds. The F-150 stands out for its technological advanced interior. A scren is in place which shows how much your’re towing and how many miles you’ve driven. Pricing for the base model starts at around $23k and go all the way up to $50k depending on the model, trim and optional configurations you choose.
Next is the 2011 Honda Ridgeline. Honda is better know for its cars than trucks but don’t overlook the Ridgeline. It’s a combo of truck and SUV; a sport utility truck. What sets it apart from the rest is that it drives like a car while retaining the functionality of a truck, however it’s not as tough and strong as some of the other contenders on the market. Shoppers may find the tailgate and bed trunk quite useful. The engine is a six cylinder and puts out 250 hp. Mileage is good for its class at 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the interstate. The cabin seats five adults. You can add in a navigation system and Bluetooth compatibility at an added cost. The RT (base model) is priced at around $29k. Los Angeles Honda carries the Ridgeline and a great selection of cars in Los Angeles.
Finally there is the 2011 Ford Ranger which is a more compact and affordable truck. This vehicle is more suited to hauling than for use as a daily commuter and some drivers may find the drive a bit too bumpy for every day driving. You can pick from two different engines; a four cylinder 2.3 Liter with 143 hp or a V6 with 207 hp. The V6 model can tow up to 5,800 pounds. The regular cab trim can seat three individuals while the super cab version has enough room for 5. Available features include an audio jack so you can plug in your Ipod and Sirius Satellite Radio is also available. The Ranger is the most affordable vehicle in our lineup with a base price of around eighteen thousand dollars. Orange County Ford dealer carries a large number of Ford vehicles.
If you are on a budget then the Ranger would be a choice to consider since it’s the most affordable vehicle in our lineup. The Ridgeline would be a good match if you prefer a vehicle that is more “car-like” than “truck-like” and the F-150 might be suitable if you want a truck that is comfortable enough to drive to work.
